Draft — pending legal review
This privacy policy page is placeholder content prepared for the MVP build. It has not been drafted or reviewed by qualified counsel and is not final legal language. A full legal and regulatory assessment of applicable jurisdictions is required before gotwifi.fun opens on mainnet. Nothing here is legal advice, and this page will be replaced before launch.
1. What we collect
- Wallet address — recorded when you connect a wallet or submit a transaction, used to show your Packet history and to attribute on-chain events to your account.
- IP address — logged by our servers and infrastructure providers for security, abuse prevention, and to derive an approximate region.
- Region / approximate location — derived from IP address, used to apply jurisdiction-based access restrictions once those are enabled per legal review.
- Product analytics — page views, button interactions, and Packet funnel events (e.g. Node added, Quote requested, Packet sent), used to understand and improve the product.
We do not collect and never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or full wallet signature content. Analytics collection is configured to exclude signed payloads and other sensitive transaction parameters.
2. Why we collect it
- To operate core functionality — building, quoting, submitting and tracking Packets.
- To detect and prevent fraud, price manipulation, and abuse of Quote pricing.
- To apply age and regional eligibility restrictions once formally defined (see Terms of Use).
- To measure product usage and improve the site.
- To comply with applicable law, once jurisdiction-specific requirements are confirmed by legal review.
3. Retention
Wallet addresses and on-chain-linked Packet history are retained for as long as your account activity remains relevant to the protocol's record-keeping and audit requirements. IP address logs and raw analytics events are retained for a limited operational window before being deleted or aggregated. Exact retention periods are [TBD] pending legal review and will be published here once confirmed.
4. Sharing
We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, RPC, analytics) to operate gotwifi.fun; those providers process data listed above on our behalf under their own security practices. We do not sell personal data. On-chain data — including your wallet address and Packet activity once submitted — is public by nature of the blockchain and not something we control after submission.
5. Your choices
You can use most of gotwifi.fun — browsing assets, prices, and building a Draft Packet — without connecting a wallet. Once formal legal review is complete, this section will describe any applicable rights to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you, consistent with the jurisdictions we operate in.
